What happens if TikTok/Instagram changes their API?

Social media platforms occasionally update their systems, which can temporarily affect TokScript's ability to extract transcripts. When this happens, our engineering team works to restore service as quickly as possible — usually within hours.

What you might experience:

• Temporary failures when trying to transcribe videos from the affected platform

• Slower processing times during the transition

• Brief periods where certain platforms are unavailable

What we do about it:

• We monitor platform changes continuously

• Our team pushes fixes as fast as possible, often same-day

• We notify users through the changelog if there's a significant disruption

• Your existing saved transcripts are never affected — only new extractions may be temporarily impacted

This is rare and usually short-lived. TokScript supports TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube, so even if one platform has a temporary issue, the others continue working normally.
